Est. 1999

Whilst manufacturing furniture for the education sector, David was asked by a very frustrated head teacher if he could design and make a locker that could not be broken into by the pupils and would stand the rigours of everyday use. As a Chartered Engineer with numerous innovative products to his name, David set about this latest challenge! He looked at all the school lockers available and soon realised why these lockers were not withstanding the rigours of everyday use. A prototype was made, tested and approved. The lockers were manufactured and delivered to the school and are still in use today. The recommendations began, many more lockers were manufactured and Staylock Ltd evolved in 1999.

The success of the lockers is due to the unique design and the insistence on only using the best materials. We were the first U.K. company to use solid laminate for our doors. Many companies have followed suit but we will only manufacture a reinforced steel, welded carcass, it presents many safety issues fixing a heavy door onto a flimsy carcass. For this reason, we only use high quality, continuous hinges.

Since 1999, modifications have been made to the lockers – new colour schemes, charging docks, lighting etc – but the core principle of a solid, secure, well manufactured locker remains at the heart of our business.

We are proud to manufacture in the U.K. and still remain family owned. The business has grown rapidly through recommendations and repeat business. As a manufacturing company, you can be assured that you are getting the best price for a high quality product. We are constantly innovating and responding to customer requirements. If there is something specific you require – logos, specific locking system, lighting, device charges – please just ask!
